Please NOTE that this week (October 3) there will be nomal lab classes so if you need
to finish off Experiment 1, you still have time, as long as the experiment is handed in (with
all samples) by 7 pm Wednesday.
There will be a mid-semester test next week on October 10, (not the 12th as stated in
the unit outline)

The lecture overheads dealing with the philosophical process of determining a reaction
mechanism are now up on the web under 'printed notes' --> 'Lecture Notes' -->

Welcome to CBMS340 (and CBMS840) for 2007. The first lecture is on Wednesday at
9.00am (E7B164). This is a two hour lecture so don't be late - note also that
all lectures are in this room. Make sure you download the unit information from the link
on the left hand side of this page before the first lecture.
If you have previously attempted CBMS340, please make yourself known to Dr Try at the
first lecture
All lab classes are in the 200/300 level chemistry labs in E7B
